Elizabeth Tippette, MSP, CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT is the founder, owner, and chief therapist of Hear I Am! Speech Therapy, PLLC in Winston-Salem, NC. With 16 years of experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist across school, early intervention, and medical settings, Elizabeth is passionate about serving her community and state through helping individuals become strong communicators! She holds state license to practice speech pathology in North Carolina and Georgia, as well as the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence. Following undergraduate training at Northwestern University, Elizabeth earned her master’s degree in speech pathology from the University of South Carolina. There she was selected for the specialization track in auditory-verbal therapy (AVT). In 2021, Elizabeth was named a Doreen Pollack AVT Scholarship recipient. Elizabeth completed a 3-year formal mentorship with a world-renowned mentor and passed a rigorous examination in October 2021 to earn AG Bell Academy's distinguished credential of Listening & Spoken Language Specialist/Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist. This certification allows Elizabeth to provide specialized services to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children and teenagers who utilize hearing aids and/or cochlear implants to learn to listen and talk. Elizabeth's writing can be found in From Listening to Language (Thieme, 2022). She also enjoys serving as a facilitator for the Professional Learning Community of Hearing First. Outside of her therapy practice, Elizabeth enjoys seeing Broadway shows in NYC with her husband and their two children!
